Adapting Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice to the screen is not as easy as the 1995 BBC series made it look.
We love Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice so much. And filmmakers have graciously provided us with a fair selection of adaptations. But none of them quite satisfy our idea of the perfect adaptation.
Why is that?
I examine four adaptations to try to identify the pits adaptors fall into while bringing Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy to life.
And to try to understand why one of the adaptations made me want to scream and plug my ears!
In case you missed it, here is my earlier video comparing three versions of Persuasion.
